1. Kirk Langley- Radbourne-Lees-Nether Burrows-Kirk Langley
Mainly country paths, undulating, lots of stiles, and only two real stretches of road (c. 800 yds each ). Doesn't get too muddy, except at ploughing time. c. 55 mins
2. Mickleover-Radbourne-Mickleover: old favourite, country paths, smooth running through Radbourne estate
Start
in car park off Station Road, Mickleover , just before old railway
bridge, coming from Mickleover. Down old railway track, take steep short
steps on right after c. 400 yds; follow footpath round edge of field,
across two stiles, path alongside field to Radbourne Lane, cross, over
stile, take right after 200yds over small footbridge, left to stile,
then down field to next stile, diagonally across field to stile,
slightly left to next stile follow path beside wood up to lane, cross
road , down farm track, cross field near bottom, right to stile, follow
path to stile, and then on to lane, turn left, across Long Lane
junction, left through small copse, diagonally across field to gate,
left down short track, over stile and up hill, following path round
edge, left at top, through gate, then stile, cross Long Lane, across
field, through small copse down left of field, over stile, straight
across large furrowed field, over tile, then second stile just on left,
across small filed through gate, take path through wood, onto Radbourne
lane, down road to Radbourne, keep left at junction, then right down
track to church, through churchyard, left at gate, over two large gates,
up track, left diagonally across field to edge of wood, down side to
gate, through small wood, cross lane, follow path through fields and
stiles, to v. muddy small wood, across footbridge, then left back on to
disused tack, back to car park.
3. Osmaston estate: some ferocious short climbs
